Sectional Breathing Exercise Series
Contrary to popular belief, each lung in not simply made of one compartment, but rather many.

This first series of exercises taught as part of the Siddha Samadhi Yoga programs progressively stretches each of these compartments, or lobes, so that they are able to maximize the amount of oxygen available to the body. According to the scriptures, each lobe is responsible for for supplying vital life force to corresponding parts of the body. Consequently, the whole body becomes energized and awakened when performing sectional breathing.
